Surroundings

Bazna is situated at a distance of 69 km from Sibiu and at a distance of 13 km from Medias, on the DJ Sibiu-Medias-Tarnaveni. The scenery is made of hills, with a lot of vineyards and with an altitude of over 320m, with important deposits of methane gas and mineral springs that contain salt, iodine and Hydrogen sulphide. Hydrographic network: The Bazna Valley and the Veltului Valley.

Starting from 1949, Bazna is a permanent spa resort. The climate from the little valley of Bazna is temperate, with mild winters and cool summers, autumn is long and pleasant, the average temperature is 8,6°C.
